Contributor Guidelines

MarTechExec is where marketers go to learn, share and discuss marketing technology topics, with peers that have been there, done that.

In that spirit, we welcome guest submissions.

To preserve the integrity and value of the community, we've established these guidelines for guest contributions:

Submission content

  • Submissions must be free of typos, grammatical errors, and punctuation errors
  • Submission must be your own original work
  • Submissions must be written under your actual name (i.e. not a pen name)
  • Submissions must not have already been published elsewhere
  • Submissions must not contain affiliate links
  • Submissions must provide unique insight, analysis, advice or perspective on marketing technology
  • Submissions must fall within at least one of the following sections of MarTechExec:

Submission style

  • Submissions must adhere to the Associated Press (AP) Style Guide
  • Submissions must not be overly promotional (i.e. advertising a particular business, product or service)
  • Submissions must not be overly dependent on technical jargon
  • Submissions must define technical terminology as needed

Submission format

  • Submissions must be a minimum of 800 words
  • Submissions must include proper attribution for quotes, facts and images
  • Submissions must follow best practices for writing for the web, such as using headers and chunking content

How to become a guest contributor

  1. Become a member of the MarTechExec community.

  2. Fill out one of our contributor forms, through which you can submit an article or submit a pitch.

  3. Keep an eye on your inbox! We'll be in contact within 1-2 weeks after you submit.
